Vancouver Thrilled!

Two hundred and forty-two dancers and more than $3000 raised for the Food Bank made for a very special day!  More to come soon, but for today, this event manager is taking a break.  ;-)  Lots of videos and pictures on our Facebook group [update: and Flickr account] -- keep 'em coming!

Thriller at FUSE

The Vancouver Art Gallery has never looked so undead.  A dozen of Vancouver's most inspired zombies took the stage at FUSE to dance Thriller for the masses (and scare the daylights out of a few of them as well).  Thanks to Vanessa and Kristina at the Gallery for setting it all up, and congratulations to the UBC Girlz Bhangra Team on an excellent performance as well.

Costumes and free makeup

Hello again, a couple notes on costumes and free makeup.

First of all, we’ve got two small rooms booked as “changerooms” at the Roundhouse.  Bring a mirror if you plan to be doing your own makeup in there.  Also, don’t leave your stuff in the rooms – they won’t be locked.

Secondly, some very exciting news... the Vancouver Film School is thrilled to help Thrill the World Vancouver zombies look the part this coming Saturday, October 24.

VFS Makeup for Film & Television students and graduates will be on hand prior to the event to provide Zombie makeup to participants for free.  We hope to make up as many of you as we can! This opportunity will be on a first come, first served basis, so come early.

     Time: 3.30pm – 5.30pm
     Where: Roundhouse Community Centre,
     Exhibition Hall, 181 Roundhouse Mews
