Updates

Hello zombies, a few quick updates:

  1. Registration begins at 4:00 pm on Saturday and closes at 5:15. There’s been a lot of media attention for this year’s event, and while we’re going to do our best to make registration speedy, it might still take a while (especially with the crash course finishing at 4:30). Don’t leave it until the last minute – the dance will start at 5:30 pm sharp, with or without you.
  2. Thursday’s rehearsal will mostly be run-throughs of the dance, maybe with a small amount of instruction on the more difficult parts of the dance.
  3. Check out our costume contest, along with our tips for dressing as a zombie. http://www.ttwvancouver.com/content/blog/2009/10/costume-contest
  4. Ceroc Vancouver is kind enough to have invited us to its Halloween party on October 30th for FREE! (Just bring a Ceroc Vancouver zombie flyer, available on either Thursday or Saturday.) This will be the official after-party of the event, see more details at http://www.cerocvancouver.ca/news/.
  5. Help Thrill The World get on the Ellen Degeneres show by visiting http://ellen.warnerbros.com/show/respond/?PlugID=224.

Dancing Thriller at FUSE

Join us at the Vancouver Art Gallery for FUSE this Friday, October 23 from 6 pm to midnight.  We'll be dancing Thriller at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30 in the Rotunda.  From their website:

FUSE puts the city’s top visual arts destination in an entirely new light—at night. The Vancouver Art Gallery’s late Friday art affair is back on October 23 with a non-stop line-up of music, performance, and artistic encounters throughout the Gallery.

The zombies are multiplying!

First 95 people come to the Oct. 10th rehearsal.  Then 152 zombies show up to the Oct. 17th rehearsal?  Wow!  With any zombies from last year who didn't come to rehearsals AND zombies coming in from the Sunshine Coast, how big can Thrill The World Vancouver be this year?  Invite your friends to either take part or come watch -- it's gonna be HUGE.  Thanks to John Biehler for shooting the video below of this Saturday's rehearsal!

Costume contest

Get your zombie costumes ready!  Our costume contest is loaded with great prizes from Sony Music, Natural Trekking, Ceroc Vancouver, Cactus Club Cafe, Meet Market Adventures, Orbital Ware contact lenses, Braden Hammond Glass, and Portobello West Market.  The categories are subject to change, but will most likely look like this:
